Format: CD Condition: New Year of Release: 2011 Cat. No.: 0249 Label: The Store For Music
The Store For Music label proudly announces the September 2011 re-release of the first 4 albums by Alcatrazz; No Parole from Rock 'n' Roll (1983), Live Sentence (1984), Disturbing the Peace (1985), and Dangerous Games (1986).
The artwork of these epic albums will replicate the original vinyl album covers, as well as feature extensive bonus material from founder Graham Bonnets very own private vault.
Alcatrazz was originally formed in California, in 1983, by vocalist Graham Bonnet, who was a veteran of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, with whom he enjoyed a massive worldwide hit with "Since You've Been Gone", before joining the Michael Schenker Group.
Enter guitarist Danny Johnson, who replaced Stevie Vai after the latter left to join David Lee Roth in 1986. Originally discovered by Rick Derringer, another one of Rock & Roll's guitar greats, after the demise of Alcatrazz, Johnson later played with Alice Cooper, Rod Stewart and Steppenwolf.
'Dangerous Games' was the third and final studio album released by Graham Bonnets Alcatrazz. This album marked a significant departure from the bands previous two studio efforts with its notably Japanese-influenced style.
The 2011 re-release of 'Dangerous Games' contains 9 bonus tracks, recorded live at The Country Club in Reseda, California, in 1984, featuring the original Alcatrazz line-up, with Yngwie Malmsteen on guitar.
