This cd absolutely amazed me and as of right now remains one of my favorite albums that I own. I really love their slower more depressing sound that they bring out in songs like "Back Down" and "Over You"...when songs can affect my mood the way theirs do, I think the band definitely has something. It shows that they're not afraid to show their emotion on an album, even though their sound can be more aggressive at times.
The melodies on every song are memorable, and the vibe and energy that they put out reminds me of older Sponge (who is also one of my favorite bands). These guys could easily make it big if they wanted to, as some of their songs are definitely MTV and radio-friendly, such as "Way Out".
I really can't say enough about this album. If you're into music that affects you and rubs you the right way with every song, then this is definitely the album for you. And it's also easier to enjoy it knowing that you're one of the few who has the honor of owning this album (although they deserve to go platinum). I really hope these guys make it big, cause they definitely deserve it.
Other than my absolute favorite song on here, "Back Down", every other song is equally amazing, there's not a bad song on here....and that's rare these days. This is one of the few albums out right now that deserves every single penny's worth. So give it a listen.
