I think this is one of the best albums that Cradle of Filth put out. Frankly, their "Cradle To Enslave" CD just totally sucked in comparison to this. It is an excellent masterpiece that I can listen to over and over again. I love the guitar work and the keyboards. The drumming is always unpredictable, and it is too bad that Nicholas left the band.
The lyrics are superb and written in such a medieval fashion. The vocals range from death-like screeches from a tortured demon from the depths of Hell, to the low growls from the Underworld. Dani's vocal range is amazing. And he uses no effects.
