This Scottish hard rock quartet was formed in 1988, and along with the likes of Little Angels and Quireboys, The Almighty spearheaded a revival in British heavy rock during the late 80's. They gained critical acclaim with their first album, produced by Andy Taylor of Duran Duran fame, which was a solid collection of metal anthems spiked with punk attitude.
The band also earned themselves a reputation as a formidable live unit appearing at both Donnington and Milton Keynes Bowl supporting the likes of Metallica and Iron Maiden. Their set included a stunning cover of Bachman Turner Overdrive's stand, 'You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet' (included here).
